Refund policy

Last updated: 11 August 2026

You can try the whole translation engine for free before you pay, so we keep refunds simple.

In short

  • 30 days on your first purchase, no questions asked.
  • 14 days on an automatic renewal.
  • Write to support@octolangwp.com with your order number; we start it the same working day.

1. First purchases: 30 days

Every first purchase of a Pro or Agency licence is covered by a 30-day money-back guarantee, counted from the date of the charge. You do not have to explain yourself, and you do not have to prove that anything was broken.

We can offer this because you can try the whole workflow before spending anything: the free version on WordPress.org is the full translation engine, running on your own provider key, so nothing about the plugin has to be taken on trust.

2. Renewals: 14 days

Licences renew automatically once a year. If a renewal charge catches you out, tell us within 14 days of that charge and we refund it in full and cancel the subscription. Cancel earlier from the customer portal linked in every receipt and no renewal charge is made at all.

3. How to ask

  1. Email support@octolangwp.com from the address you bought with, or use the contact page.
  2. Include the order number from your Lemon Squeezy receipt. That is all we need.
  3. We reply within two business days and approve the refund in Lemon Squeezy.
  4. Lemon Squeezy returns the money to the original payment method. Banks usually take a further five to ten business days to show it.

You can also request the refund directly through Lemon Squeezy, who are the merchant of record for the sale. Either route works; going through us is usually faster.

4. What happens to the licence

A refunded licence is deactivated, so the paid features stop on the sites where it was activated. Nothing else changes: the free core keeps running, translations already stored on the site keep being served, no configured language is removed and no URL changes. You are not left with a broken site because you asked for your money back.

5. What is not covered

  • Charges billed to you by DeepL or OpenAI. We never touch that money: you hold the key and the account, and their refund terms are their own.
  • Repeated buy-and-refund cycles on the same licence, the same domain or the same customer.
  • Requests made after the periods above. Write to us anyway: if the plugin genuinely failed to do what this site says it does, we would rather fix it or refund it than argue about a date.

6. Consumers in the European Union

Consumers in the EU have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for distance purchases. Digital products delivered immediately are an exception to it, and at checkout you consent to immediate delivery and acknowledge the loss of that right. The 30-day guarantee above is offered voluntarily on top of your statutory rights and is more generous than they are; it does not limit them.

7. Chargebacks

Please email us before opening a dispute with your bank. A chargeback takes weeks, costs both sides a fee, and gets you the same money we would have sent back the same day.
